Chandra San Ik Restaurant in Jakarta

"Food court area is installed with new AC system, so dont worry to be sweating when having the yummy comfort food here! San Ik serves OG Hakka food. A few favs are: Kuah Gurame Ikan Talas (150k), Kangkung hotplate (a must!) 90k , watch the hot plate sizzle and getting all smoky on your table, Pare cah sapi (90k). We tried the Samcan Sereh (160k), the dish is rather sweet and not to our liking. Usually is between San Ik or Mutiara, but both hv decent food, although soup in Mutiara is served in a big pot and portion is rather generous. Overall good taste!"

"I tried their Sup Jagung , Kodok Saus Mentega. Cah Kapa Tauco. the portion is a bit too much for two of us. the tricky is "how to get there" I was took the wrong path for a few times before i finally get there. PS: don't follow google map just go to PETAK ENAM on google map. at the ground floor you just walk pass by the stair. and you will find a car parking area. just walk straight to it. and you will see walkway at the left side to a building with a lot of shop. just ask anyone at the shop nearby and they will tell you the location. side note: the frog leg in the picture look less than it supposed to be because i already ate it."

"Located inside Chandra Building at the Ground floor and in an aircon foodcourt (at far left back of the building), this foodcourt has legendary tenants of Chinese food jointa - SAN IK (and Mutiara). Among these two joints, my favorite for milky (Gurame/Tilapia) fish soup with raddish, tofu amd preservatove pickles. Also try its Sapo (Claypot) Beef Tendon with Radish and Fried Noodles with Kucai, both are good. For sizzling Kangkung (Morning Glory) Beef Hotplate, the other joint is more popular to order from. The foodcourt is typically full house on Saturday lunch time, maybe difficult to get a table. Sunday is lesser crowded."

"A classic Chinese restaurant inside Chandra Glodok Food Court Most of the customers here are elders Pick the seat closer to the restaurant and then the waitress will come to get you their menu No price list on the menu But expect most of the stuffs are on higher price We ordered Chicken Water Spinach 100k Mix Meat Fried Noodles 70k However the taste are tasty and served hot We waited around 10m"

"If you ever go to jakarta's chinatown and wish to try the food here then you should try this restaurant, located on the ground floor of CHANDRA building. The sweet and sour fish is amazing and the KANGKUNG HOT PLATE is one of the best in town. They are also providing lots of things that you can choose from the menu and though others are also tasty but i think these two are their super str , specially their kangkung Hot plate. Until today i haven't found kangkung as good as theirs.. where it is well done cooked but still carry the sense of crunchy in every bite."

"Casually strolling around this old Chandra Building and suddenly my dad took us to eat at this place recommended by his friend. We ordered 4 dishes; to mio, kerang kepa cah, lindung cah fumak, and sapo tahu. The foods came out fast, only around 10 minutes. Everything were awesome. But my favorites were lindung cah fumak and kepa cah. Sadly, it was quite pricey. I think 8k for rice and 9k for a bottled water was too much. But I still enjoyed the food and hopefully will come back again. Update after 5 years: came back again as a party of 3, ordered; puyunghai, to mio, and mie goreng seafood. Portions were huge. All tasted yummy and good. This place definitely brings back nostalgia!"
